Feeling a little bit rock and roll.

Well I am, its clichéd but true. The other weekend I purchased these beautiful babies. Studs and all.

Initially I wasn’t sold on the studs. They were a bit dramatic for my liking. But then when I put them on and felt both impeccably comfortable and oddly like Joan Jett. I thought I would give ‘em a go.

Boots; Mi Piaci Ring; Stolen GF club Jeans; Jack Wills Jacket; Topshop Merino; Glassons

Now I can’t stop wearing them and in just a week of owning them they have become a complete staple! So, stud up ladies and gents.

Working 9 to 5 ain't that bad.

I have said before and I will say again I love my job. And yesterday was just one of those days that made me love it even more... when this baby landed in the office.

I think this may have been the first time that everyone (men included) had the "where, when and how can I get one of those" looks on their faces. And we all had a good play around.
As you may have guessed by now, this is the new Polaroid.

To be honest, not much has changed. It is still incredibly bulky, produces oddly both flattering and unflattering photos, has stupidly expensive film and is infinitely cool. It comes in 'mini' version (pictured above - what we played with) and '210' aka normal.

They retail at $150 for the mini and $200 for the regular size. I want one. Badly.

Sweater time.

Winter has most certainly set up camp here in the southern hemisphere. So, I thought it was high time I invested in something toasty. When I noticed two of my favourite kiwi bloggers had put their heads together to create another sweater (the first camee out last year) I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

I have always been at a bit of a loss for how to dress durning winter, struggling with the idea to keep both snuggly warm and super chic. But I love this cheeky sweater, it is the perfect oversized look and is supremely comfortable. Here I have worn it with my Karen Walker blazer and my Topshop ballet flats to add a bit of femininity and structure to the look.

Check out the rest of the range here.

P.s. I would like to say thanks so much for all your comments on the last two posts :) I will definitely keep you update on the Ruby pants and get back to each and everyone of you.

Sartorial fix-it.

Just a quick note to say that I am having MAJOR cravings for these Ruby trousers. Although the orange is so beautiful and the bold colour is so on trend, I think I would probably get myself a pair in classic black.

I can think of nothing that they wont go with perfectly. They will push me from my mediocre wardrobe mind block into sartorial bliss.

Its a lot of pressure to put on a pair of trousers. And I am not sure the price tag is in my budget at the mo!

Its an investment I think. Or at least I tell myself.

Ode to David...

This long weekend I took a short trip out of civilization to a small farm just past the Kauri Forest. Due to the horrific weather there was little doing but cuddling up close in front of the open fire with Sarge, Friesian (dogs) and Iz (boy... although often smells like the previous) and watching DVDs. Pretty rad weekend I must say.

It also provided a nice backdrop to break out my most recent purchase... a pair of "David Bain" leggings (as so dubbed by my boss).

Also on show are my cute Chelsea style boots, perfect flats for the cold season and my new feather Topshop necklace. I am hopping to get a lot more wear out of theses Dotti babies and the rest this winter!

Ruby still rocks.

Ruby has just released pictures of both Ruby and Madame Hawke's Spring collection. I can still remember the days that Ruby was just a simple little shop in Newmarket that had the occasional cool dress or nice jumper. In the last two years this boutique has just exploded and continues to hit the mark with beautifully crafted, original yet completely on trend looks.

I am especially loving the clean and simple lines of Madame Hawkes collection.

These are a few of my fav looks but you can check the entire thing out here.

Where I want to be right now.

Karl Lagerfeld and Grace Coddington, 1974.

I discovered this photo on my new favourite tumblr. Check it out here.
