On a roll.

Since I am on a bag roll (well I will be when I this bag post), Chanel has just launched their new bag. And its a goodie.

'The Boy' bag has taken inspiration from both the current masculine styles hitting the runways and from Coco herself, who loved nothing more than to don menswear.

The bag will be available in Chanel boutiques and online from September.

I know it has been making the rounds for a while on the blogashpere... but I am still very much in love with Cambridge Satchels.

I have thought about it long and hard and I really can't decide between a beautiful classic colour like chestnut or navy, or one of the ever cool florescent satchels. So, naturally, I will have to get one of each!

For the days when I feel traditional and elegant I would don a perfectly cut blazer, crisp white shirt and timeless brogues with a my chestnut cambridge.

When I am feeling a little more frivolous I would match my six inch Miu Miu stilettos (I wish) and acid wash jeans with a neon yellow satchel. Of course.

Hell, a girl can dream.

Lusting.

Lately I have been lusting a more casual look. You know, something one can meander around on a Sunday afternoon and feel both impeccably on trend and insanely comfy. So I am basically craving this look.

Guaranteed to cure any hangover.

"As an eight-year-old, I’d wear black PVC trousers to school"

I have a new style crush (to add to my ever growing list of incredibly iconic and inspiring people). Julia Restoin Roitfeld. Unless you live under a rock, or maybe just if you don’t spend all your time stalking the fashion elite (when you should be working/cleaning/moving off your bum) you'll know that her mother is Carine Roitfeld, the incredibly glamorous and beautiful former editor of Paris Vogue.

Julia Studied design in New York (at the infamous Parsons) after growing up in Paris. It wasn’t until Tom Ford cast her in an advertising campaign for his scent Black Orchid (in 2006) that she really blew into the fashion scene. Ford was quoted wanting a ‘personality’ rather than a model for his campaign and has been using Julia in things ever since.

Apart from her obvious beauty and incredible poise, Julia has quite an enchanting and intelligent opinion of the world that she has grown up so feverishly in front of.

“I’m really impressed by the power of the fashion industry. Some people think that clothes are just things that you wear to cover yourself but I’m blown away because clothes to me are a sort of new pop art. Clothes can be either art or design but need a real purpose.”

I very much admire the way Miss Roitfield has come to be her own person in the industry and although one cannot dispute the help having her mother at the helm of one of the most influential magazines to grace fashions stiletto filled world would be, I think we can all say she has developed not only her own (very independent) look. But also is stamping her own mark on the industry. Julia has just finished up working with Mark Fast in her capacity as an art director on his latest diffusion range ‘Faster’.

If you wish to stalk her… I mean *cough * cough* … find out more about her and her devilishly stylish family, my fav Roitfield encyclopaedia is here.

“Aside from the odd trip to Miu Miu or Prada, I’d prefer to go to a sex shop in Pigalle for a miniskirt.”

better late than never...

I have known about this for a week now and it has taken me this long to tell you all... my deepest apologies.
Now to the point at hand. Get to Karen Walker's Newmarket store. Pronto.

Lookie look look book

Glassons new look book has continued the growing style ethos of ... well just awesomeness. So I thought I would share.

My new best friend.

On friday I scored a new lipstick at one of the fashion shoots I was working on. And I am officially obsessed. I am not a big make-up gal. A quick poof of powder, a swipe of mascara and I am out the house. But since I got my hot little hands on the very sweet and simple Revlon 'super lustrous lipstick' in temptress I haven't put it down.

I think the sweet rose shade is such a great everyday lipstick that can glam up even the simplest outfits.

The colour is light and although it does come off after half a cup of tea, it is simple to reapply with no mirror needed. Perfect new accessory.

Winter warmer.

I am saving my pennies for this nude fashion extravaganza. It has been in the shops for a while... but with the weather the way it is at the moment I can't help but love the idea of getting caught in the wind in this romantic Juliette Hogan number.

Matched with some thick wool tights, chunky heels and maybe even one of Moochi's gorgeous knits this is truly a winter outfit to warm any day.

Topshop wish list look.

Having visited the land of fashion promise that is Topshop's flagship store I cant get it out of my head, and regular visits to the website over my morning coffee have become ritual.

This is the outfit I am lusting as we speak. Or blog.
